Events

We believe passionately in equipping Christian young people to get involved in what God is doing in their generation. Through our various ministries and events we aim to train, motivate and support them to live a life that is `deliberately different' as they serve God and the church.

Impact

Impact is a worship event for secondary school aged young people from Swindon and the surrounding areas. Impact is run by local youth workers from a wide variety of churches around the town in partnership with Swindon YFC and is held at Citifaith Church every 2 months on a Saturday evening. Impact's heart is to give young people the opportunity to experience and engage in worship which is relevant in style to their age, to equip them in their walks of faith and to have fun as they get to know other young Christians from the area. Launched back in November 2008, there have been three fantastic Impact events which have drawn together around 150 different young people from the area to worship God, be inspired in their faith and to get to know one another. The events include a cafe, fun and games, worship, teaching, media and prayer. The main event runs from 7-9:15 and then there's an AfterHours session until 10 for those in year 11+. The next Impact is on the 18th of September 2010.

Noise

During the first bank holiday weekend in May we take part in the Soul Survivor 'Noise' weekend. This gives young people a great opportunity to serve their local community through lots of different social action projects - from litter picking, painting, gardening to playing games with local kids, the list and potential is endless. It's a fantastic weekend of getting involved with our local town!

If you want to find out more about the noise then either head to the website (http://www.soulaction.org/thenoise/index.html) or email us at noise@syfc.org.uk

Rock Solid

These clubs are specifically geared towards the 11 - 14 age group. They attract both churched & unchurched young people and bridge the gap between the two. For more information see the Church resources page.

It's a knock out

In the style of the 70's game show - a fun filled event for school, youth and local church groups. Loads of mess and challenges, something for the young people to invite their friends to - a first contact event. Last year we had over 100 young people come.
