Swindon Youth for Christ was started in 1950 and is the longest continually running YFC centre in the country. Our vision and purpose have always been the same, to take the Good News relevantly to every young person in Swindon.
Throughout our history we have sought to be creative, innovating and relevant in the ways that we engage with young people and help them to explore the Christian faith. We have run Rallies in the Old Town bowl, hosted a Cliff Richard concert, held Its a Knock Out competitions, run youth groups, residential trips, been involved in a huge variety of schools work and worked in partnership with the local churches of the town to reach out to young people with a message of hope, life, love and truth.
Over our 60 year history we have have the privilege to work with thousands of young person and seen countless hundreds of young people come to faith in Jesus Christ and be discipled by the local church before being sent out to serve God in the world, wether that be remaining here in Swindon or further afield around the world.
