Luella has been working with a group of Year 11 students for the past two years in Swindon Academy supporting and facilitating the XL education programme. As part of their course, they have to plan and take part in a residential trip together.
Along with two other members of Swindon Academy staff, Luella took eight of the students to Liddington PGL centre for three days of outdoor activities and team games. The students tackled fears as their climbed 40ft walls, glided down a zip wire and took to a canoe to name but a few of the exciting activities the group participated in. There were also plenty of opportunities for the students to gain confidence and new skills on the activities and PGL provided some exciting evening entertainment and activities for the group including space hopper football!! It was really great to see the young people come together and put aside some of their friendship differences, difficult home circumstances and work together to make their final few days together special. Please pray for these young people as they leave school and look to their individual futures.
